448 MILLENNIUM W anting to know how far her imagination and creativity could take her, Sandra Dakota Daley embarked on a career as a triple- threat artist. Ms. Daley graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts from Oberlin College and earned a Master of Fine Arts from the California College of Arts and Crafts with high distinction. With her innate skills and the knowledge she gained from her education, she enjoyed a fruitful career as an artist, filmmaker, and photographer, and has brought to life many creative pieces. She has been a co-editor for Contemporary Photographer Magazine, and participated in shows with Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and Nicholas Quennell. She has also produced and directed a variety of films. Additionally, she has dabbled in photography and created photo albums including portraits of Leonard Cohen, Edie Sedgwick, Gregory Corso, the Incredible String Band, Lucy Colella, Arthur C. Clarke, and Harry Smith. Now retired, Ms. Daley enjoys writing and drawing in her spare time. J ames Leonard Danielson has over 40 years of experience in political science and education. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Concordia College in 1960 and a Master of Arts and PhD from the University of Minnesota in 1967 and 1971, respectively. Wanting to impart his knowledge to future lawyers and politicians, Dr. Danielson was a professor of political science at the University of North Texas from 1967 to 1987. He would later take his talents and experience to Moorhead State University, where he became a political science professor and director of public and human service administration from 1987 until his retirement in 1996. Dr. Danielson has contributed his knowledge to the field as a co-author and author of four books. He remains an active member of the American Political Science Association, the Southern Political Science Association and the American Society for Public Administration, where he served on the Minnesota chapter’s board of directors from 1988 to 2002. Dr. Danielson’s civic duties include being chair of the Denton County Democratic Party and serving on the Moorhead Minnesota City Council. In 1980 he was a grantee of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
