447 A Marquis Who's Who Magazine W ith a strong desire to work in law enforcement, Richard D. Crites has earned his position in the field as a lawyer and deputy sheriff. Admitted to the Arizona State Bar Association in 1968 and the Missouri Bar Association in 1979, Mr. Crites has utilized his expertise to maintain a four-decade-long successful career. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Arizona State University, a Juris Doctor from the University of Arizona and a degree from the Missouri Sheriff’s Training Academy. His professional career began in 1968 as an associate of Knez & Glatz. He served in that position for five years before making partner in 1973. Relocating to Missouri in 1978, he became chief counsel for City Utilities for a year. He later delved into education as an instructor for the Missouri Sherriff’s Training Academy, a position he has held since 2004. In 1979 he opened a private practice in Springfield, which works primarily in the areas of representation of law enforcement officers, negligence actions and domestic relations. Mr. Crites continues to remain active in the field as a member of the Greene County Bar Association, the Missouri Bar Association, and the Arizona Bar Association. W ith an extensive background, John T. Crowe has been able to maintain a successful career in the legal field for over five decades. Mr. Crowe obtained a Bachelor of Arts and a Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University in 1960 and 1962, respectively, and has been a lawyer in the Visalia region of California since 1964. He was also a partner of Crowe, Mitchell & Crowe from 1974 to 1985, and general counsel for Sierra Wine from 1986 to 1996. Additionally, he served on the board of directors of the Wilson Ranch Company and California Citrus Mutual, and was a referee for the State Bar Court from 1976 to 1978. Also a military veteran, he received the Distinguished Service Medal with one oak leaf cluster, the Meritorious Service Medal with three oak leaf clusters, and an Army Commendation Medal. Mr. Crowe is a member of the American Bar Association, the Tulare County Bar Association, the State Bar of California, the Association of the United States Army, the Visalia Chamber of Commerce, and Rotary International.
