501 A Marquis Who's Who Magazine W illiam M. Stall has served many years as a professor and weed scientist. With a Bachelor of Science fromThe Ohio State University and a Master of Science and a Ph.D. from the University of Florida, Dr. Stall was prepared to embark on a career where he could combine his two passions: education and science. He began his career as an extension agent for Dade County Cooperative Extension Service from 1974 to 1980. Wanting to impart his knowledge to undergraduate and graduate students, he made his home in the Horticultural Sciences Department at the University of Florida, where he served as an associate professor and professor of horticultural sciences. Dr. Stall was center director for the North Florida IR4 Field Research Unit from 1985 until retirement and has contributed chapters to books and articles to professional journals. His research on the use of herbicides in weed control systems has earned him much recognition, including the Outstanding Extension Award from the Weed Science Society of America, which is a major award given once a year for ongoing work. Dr. Stall remains committed and dedicated to his field as a member of many scientific organizations. C ardiologist and professor Paul David Stein has specialized in diagnosing, preventing and treating diseases in the cardiovascular system for over five decades. With a Bachelor of Science and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Cincinnati in 1955 and 1959 respectively, Dr. Stein was well-equipped to embark on a successful career in cardiology. Honing his skills as an intern at the Jewish Hospital, he continued to excel in the field earning many fellowships at medical facilities, including the University of Cincinnati, Mount Sinai Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He began imparting his knowledge to future cardiologists in 1967 as a professor of medicine at Creighton University and continued in that capacity earning many teaching positions, including professor of medicine and full time affiliate at Wayne State University and professor of the department of osteopathic medical specialties at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, positions he has held since 1985 and 2003 respectively. Dr. Stein remains a master fellow of the American College Chest Physicians, a fellow of the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association.
