143 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine D r. Allan P. Gold was first introduced to psychology when working for the medical unit while serving in the U.S. Army. Dr. Gold received two bachelor’s degrees in mathematics and psychology, and later obtained a PhD in 1978, all from the University of California Berkeley. A nationally certified school psychologist, Dr. Gold has been a district psychologist for the Reed Union School District since 1976. Additionally, he was an adjunct professor at his alma mater from 1980 to 1987. Dr. Gold runs individualized and group counseling services for children who have divorced or ill parents and siblings with special needs. He is known for having cameo appearances in school plays; he likes to show children that mental health should be discussed to help break the stigma. He also established a TEA (Teach Equity and Acceptance) Club and founded the Gender Sexuality Alliance. A member of the California Association of School Psychologists and National Association of School Psychologists, Dr. Gold was twice the recipient of the Outstanding School Psychologist Award from the California Association of School Psychologists in 1991 and 2017. In 2014, he received a Community Service Award from the Belvedere-Tiburon Rotary Club. DISTRICT PSYCHOLOGIST Reed Union School District San Francisco, CA ALLAN P. GOLD, PHD J oan A. Gillman is an elementary educator of K-8 who served the Browning School in New York as a science teacher for second, fifth and sixth grade from 2018 to 2019 and second, fourth and sixth grade since 2019. Throughout her 35-plus year career, she has allocated time to such institutions as the St. Angela Merici School and Joytown Kent Elementary School; the Bede School; the Professional Children’s School and the Calhoun School; Anna C. Scott Elementary School; and Yeshivat Noam. She has been a certified educator through National Geographic since 2019. Drawing upon a BA in education, summa cum laude, from Felician College and MA in education from New York University, Ms. Gillman maintains affiliation with the National Science Teaching Association and the Science Teachers Association of New York State. She is also a member of the national honor society in education, Kappa Delta Pi. Notably, her article “Bridges, Buildings and Structures, Oh My!” was published in the Science Teachers Bulletin (STANYS). Honored as Teacher of the Year, she received the Urhy Thompson Award from the Calhoun School and the Young Teachers Incentive Award from the Professional Children’s School.
